The Explosives and Propellants activity is gathered within EURENCO, a Group SNPE subsidiary, sole European company offering a comprehensive range of energetic materials for the Defense market (explosives, propellants, combustible items). In the civil sector, EURENCO also provides explosives for oil and gas extraction, as well as mining technology.

Increasingly involved in new international programs, EURENCO has reinforced its production capabilities in Europe
in order to optimally satisfy market needs, and restructured itself into 2 business units:

• Propellants and Propelling Charges

This unit comprises four production sites in Belgium, Finland, France and Sweden, and provides:

- Simple and multi base propellants (including LOVA propellants), spherical powder, reloading powder and ignition powder;
- Cartridge cases and combustible modular cases for 120mm and 155mm ammunition;
- Mortar horseshoe containers in Nitrofilm and combustible felted material;
- Modular charges for 155mm artillery guns;
- Nitrocellulose.

• Explosive Charges and Additives 

With two production sites in France and Sweden, this unit offers a unique range of explosive products and solutions adapted to its partners’ requirements:

- Insensitive molecules, high performance molecules, as well as all explosive compositions;
- MURAT solutions for Insensitive Munitions;
- Innovations related to production processes and capacities;
- Innovative products to meet safety and environmental requirements.

EURENCO also owns the world’s largest EHN production capacity. EHN is a chemical additive used as a Cetane index improver for diesel engines.
