The role of Quality Safety Environment engineers:
Quality Safety and Environment engineers contribute to the continuous
improvement of operations, and ensure the safety of people and equipment,
as well as protecting the environment.
Required skills:
Complete knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations, the ability to summarize information and write reports, and the ability to lead and persuade people.
Functions:
• The “job description” for Quality, Safety and Environment engineers
is based on the following:
Advise and assist management to ensure:
- deployment and oversight of quality management systems;
- high-level safety of people and goods;
- environmental protection is part of daily life.
• Conduct audits and analyze results.
• Prepare QSE management reviews.
• Coordinate actions needed to obtain and maintain authorizations, certifications and approvals
from authorities.
• Stay in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Promote communications and awareness enhancement actions concerning
process
management, development of a safety culture and environmental
protection.
• Create and update QSE documentation, and ensure that it meets employee needs in terms of
understanding standards and regulations.
• Take part in treating anomalies, incidents, and malfunctions.
• Contribute to monitoring performance indicators.
